Projects

Quincy James Freeman’s work has moved through several public identities, brands, and creative projects. Each one reflects a different part of the same larger story: technology, food, automotive culture, storytelling, reinvention, and the road.

Cue the Critic

Cue the Critic is Freeman’s food, travel, and culture-facing creator identity. The project focuses on food as a doorway into place, memory, personality, and the experience of moving through America.

Rather than polished restaurant criticism alone, Cue the Critic is rooted in presence: diners, airports, road meals, local spots, strange cravings, regional habits, and the honest emotional weather of being wherever the story happens to be. Recent work includes “A Seat for One at Lucia,” a solo-dining memoir on one of Los Angeles’s most talked-about new restaurants.

Cue Anthony

Cue Anthony is Freeman’s business and memoir-adjacent identity, connected to earlier creative, automotive, and entrepreneurial work.

The name has appeared across automotive culture, e-commerce, storytelling, and personal brand projects. It remains part of Freeman’s public identity and creative archive.

Cue Anthony Racing

Cue Anthony Racing was Freeman’s automotive aftermarket e-commerce company, built and run as a full technology operation on WordPress and WooCommerce. The site carried more than 120,000 SKUs, with the platform integrations, payment systems, product-data management, search visibility, and customer-support tooling to run it at scale, and grew sales more than 550% over its first three years.

The project connected automotive aftermarket parts, online retail operations, and the business realities of building and owning something from scratch.

In 2022, Freeman and Cue Anthony Racing were featured by SEMA in a member spotlight.

Data Cross

Data Cross was Freeman’s IT consulting and managed-services firm, founded in 2006 and run for nearly two decades. It was his professional foundation in IT operations, business systems, infrastructure, and team leadership, at its height directing teams of up to 25 technicians and contractors across client engagements.

While Data Cross is no longer active as a public-facing brand, it remains central to Freeman’s professional history and technology background.
