IT Leadership & Operations

Quincy James Freeman is an IT operations and infrastructure leader with more than twenty years keeping technology running and reducing operational chaos across manufacturing, retail, e-commerce, and independent consulting, repeatedly the person made responsible for outcomes when no one else is coming to fix it.

Leadership and multi-site operations

Most recently, Freeman was promoted from sole site IT to East Region Lead at a national automotive manufacturer, directing an 11-person team across more than ten manufacturing and distribution sites in six states. There he led the IT integration of an acquired company onto the corporate domain, built and mentored the regional support team, and standardized ticketing, SLAs, and escalation, cutting support response times by 30% and onboarding time by 40%.

Earlier, he founded and ran Data Cross, an IT consulting and managed-services firm, for nearly two decades, directing teams of up to 25 technicians and owning delivery, vendor relationships, and the firm’s P&L.

Technical depth

Freeman’s hands-on range spans endpoint and device management (Intune, JAMF, SCCM, MDM), identity and access (Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory), infrastructure and networking, unified communications (RingCentral, 8×8, MiTel-to-cloud migrations), ERP environments (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Dynamics AX), and AWS-based backup and business continuity. He pairs that depth with the leadership to run the teams and processes around it.

Practical technology leadership

Freeman’s approach to IT is rooted in clarity, ownership, and real-world usability. Good technology leadership is not just fixing devices, it is building systems people can actually use, reducing friction, protecting access, and helping teams work without turning every small issue into a crisis.

His work has included leading and mentoring technicians, managing devices and endpoints, improving onboarding processes, maintaining business systems, troubleshooting hardware and software, documenting repeatable fixes, and helping teams adapt to new tools.

Cue Anthony Racing: e-commerce and systems

Freeman founded and ran Cue Anthony Racing, an automotive aftermarket e-commerce company, for several years as a full technology operation, not a side project. He built and administered a self-hosted WordPress/WooCommerce platform carrying more than 120,000 SKUs, managing SQL databases, large product and customer datasets, and daily transaction volume across a live storefront.

The work spanned platform integrations across Shopify, Magento, and BigCommerce, payment and checkout systems, automated operational workflows, Zendesk customer-support tooling, search visibility and SEO, inventory and fulfillment coordination, and vendor and supplier management. Over its first three years the business grew sales more than 550% through platform optimization and operational improvements, and it was selected for Amazon’s Black Business Accelerator.

It sits alongside Data Cross as evidence that Freeman builds and runs the systems a business depends on, and carries the accountability of an owner-operator, not just the support around them.

Current focus

Freeman is targeting IT Manager, IT Operations Manager, Infrastructure Manager, and Service Delivery Manager roles, especially in manufacturing and multi-site environments, where practical leadership, process improvement, and systems thinking matter. He brings the perspective of someone who understands both the technical side of systems and the human side of why they fail.
